NWC Office Staff
Chris Stage, PhD, Executive Director--
Chris is the Neighbors Who Care (NWC) Executive Director. Before joining NWC,
Chris taught at Arizona State University, was a Fulbright Fellow, and Peace Corps Volunteer.
As Executive Director, she is responsible for overseeing daily operations, public relations
& community outreach, budget management & grant writing, and coordinates with the Board of
Directors on strategic & long range planning. Chris and her husband Roger are avid
“foodies” and enjoy hiking in Arizona.
Darlene Sansone, Office Manager--
Darlene joined Neighbors Who Care in May 2007. She coordinates the day-to-day activities of
the office, schedules office volunteers and van drivers, organizes the bulk mailing events,
facilities the Sights and Sounds Group and assists the Director as needed. Her business
background and office management experience combined with a passion for volunteerism has
given her a new career in the non-profit sector. Darlene is originally from Syracuse,
NY and relocated to Sun Lakes in 2002 from San Diego, CA with her two cats (TC & Holly).
Bonnnie Kosar, Case Manager--
Bonnie received her Social Work degree from the University of Regina in Canada. She moved
with her family to AZ in 1998 and has served at the Case Manager for Neighbors Who Care
since 2003. As Case Manager she is responsible for determining clients’ needs and how NWC
can best meet those needs. She facilitates a weekly Caregiver Support Group and is a
certified Master Trainer for the Powerful Tools for Caregiver Program.
Mary Middleton, Volunteer Manager,
Mary moved to Arizona in April of 2002 and joined NWC in July of that year. A retired
English teacher with a BS in Education from Ohio State University and graduate work at
Cleveland State University, she began volunteering by doing transportation, shopping/errands,
reassurance calling and office scheduling. Mary became the Volunteer Manager in April of
2004 and is responsible for our 500+ corps of community volunteers. She coordinates
volunteer recruitment, retention and recognition efforts. In her spare time she likes to
swim, read and is an avid crossword puzzle fan.

Eve Casey, Case Aid--
Eve, the Neighbors Who Care Case Aide, has been with the organization since 2005.
Eve is responsible for conducting reassessments of current NWC clients. Reassessments
are an important part of the NWC Case Management process – checking to see that clients
are receiving needed services. Eve’s career has always been with non-profit organizations
that are dedicated to helping others. Her personal motto is “Do something that is helpful
to others.”
Carol Sammarone, Dinner Delivery Coordinator--
Carol Sammarone, Dinner Delivery Coordinator, has been with Neighbors Who Care since 2003.
She schedules volunteer drivers, verifies menu options with Bashas’ and other vendors, calls
each client on a daily basis, and completes needed paperwork to ensure meal delivery,
Monday – Friday to our dinner delivery clients. Carol greatly enjoys her job and the
opportunity to work with NWC clients and volunteers.
